Hi there,

Let me introduce myself, my name is Yannick.
I am currently building a website called ParisByPod.com, to be launched in January 2008... and no, the website is not about a millionnaire-blond-haired-girl
Actually, I'm living in the town of Paris (France), so that's what the website is all about. Basically it will help people learn French by offering daily podcast in French & information on Paris. My plan is to sell my own products + others as well through affiliation.

I have a technical background (Project Management & informatics) but I am very new to e-marketing, so I'm sure I'm going to learn a lot there. I discovered DigitalPoint forum 2 days ago and I have spent since almost 6 hours on it: the content is just incredible. As an example, so far I knew only about PayPal, and now I discovered ClickBank, Azoogle, PayDotCom, 2Checkout and many others. On one hand I'm getting lost... but on the other hand I'm feeling amazed & thrilled at all new possibilities !

I hope I can get in touch with other fellow publishers / advertisers and share best practices. I guess 2008 will be an interesting year, there are so great ideas to pick up here

I'm in the process of building the website, so I still don't have a definitive logo, all content is not yet ready, there are many broken links, and so on. I will announce my website launch in the "reviews" forum when ready for it

You are so modest in calling Paris a town - we have thousands of 'cities' in North America that are a tiny fraction of its size

I know exactly what you mean about the feeling you get when you first discover this forum, and your eloquent description brings it all back.
