I just wanted to ask what my website was missing. I havn`t finished the game section and some of the video section. I made everything myself. Thank you.
The look is good, if I were you in all honesty I would check out the page load times, seems to drag for me quite a bit. Some of your thumbnail images are loaded at 1024*640 when they should be quite smaller than that. Cutting that down should help out with load times on that page alone. Take it easy, Kolby
You've got a couple minor rendering issues on large font machines, and I'd suggest not declaring a height on the google ads banner, so people running ad blockers don't think your layout is busted. http://battletech.hopto.org/for_others/LamChops/images/WTFNubs_problems.jpg On the height issue breaking, I'd suggest either switching to PX fonts, or making those containers dynamic height. I'd also suggest axing the mm_swapimage javascript nonsense for CSS rollovers. At 209K I'd also look into trying some image optimizations, and at 27 files on your mainpage, I'd be eying image combination using background slides as well... Being it's all greyscale you might get smaller filesizes at 32 or even 16 color, and with dithering you might not even notice. The html is also way heavy given the simplicity of the layout - likely from the use of tables to place everything. Aesthetically - well done... I like the monochrome and the layout while 'in your face' size wise, works for it. Code wise, it's a bit dated and a bit big...
That is one incredible looking site. well done. One thing that did catch my eye is that the title doesn't "follow". You should make it stay put throughout all of the pages.
yeah I like it. good domain name, solid graphics. but don't like the letter 'i' in the font on the top navigation
Very cool design!! Just the home page has no information what this site is about. I think you place somewhere a simple, short, and catchy sentence or phrase that explains what this is all about. Also, in page /Video.htm when I hover the pointer over the top menu bar, it raises javascript errors.
nice design, but stay away from using too much "photoshop" jpg/gif on your site. takes too long to load + some of the photoshop graphic are just too much. use css to get the same effect. if you're gonna stick with the graphic, then turn them into gif, no need for jpg imo.
