Allow me to introduce myself. First of all, thanks to Digital point forums. I have been reading the forums and learned a lot, especially on the subject of SEO and adsense. Today, I decided to register, and this is my first post. I am a Finance graduate, but find myself interested in design and web development (I spend most of my time googling IT terms than finance jargons). I have several blogs, some of which I have abandoned. I am surfing this forum from my Asus 1.66Ghz Intel Duo Core, 512MB RAM (not enough), 80GB HD, 14" WXGA laptop. I am young (am I?), aged 24. I have a new venture, at www.WriteAbout.Us, in which I try to establish a human edited directory, funded by link sales on the front page (instead of massive adsense). The main idea is to include sites that are worth talking about into the directory once it is launched. The directory is not launched yet, only the front page link sale is launched. Though it starts from $1, but I doubt sales will be high, since it is still new. The current high bid is $12. I don't know much about internet marketing, so I depend on the free links (on a contextual link exchange basis) to do the talking. (please suggest if you have any idea how to make it popular) I frequent this forum, namepros and hostmonster's new forum. I read shoemoney, problogger, ajaxian, performancing, to name a few blogs I remember at heart. That's all about me, glad to be here!
Thanks, Crazy_Rob! Ambarrasingly, I feel I got the wrong Degree. Though I am very interested in Finance, given the fact that I managed to get into and become a member of International Association of Registered Financial Planner (IARFC.org), I still find myself digging and reading about tech and internet. They seem more interesting than NYSE picks
Wecome Daniel. I found your site the other day and found the concept interesting. I purchased a link on your paid section tonight and I also blogged about it to try to increase your traffic and get my link in your free section. This could be an exciting ride if you are able to get the site off the ground and build up a buzz that will draw people in.
