    Hi,

I need to rank a non competitive link basically linked In link on a person's name to the first position. Please tell me how do I do that ?

This LinkedIn link is now on third position and ahead of it there is a ripoff report link on that name & I can't beat this link to get to the top. Now anybody please tell me how do I get LinkedIn or other links to the top position on any name.

Should I do only dofollow Social bookmarking & Directory submission or I should post on every bookmarking sites & Directory sites with Nofollow Tag. Is there any other link building strategy I can apply ?

    Kind Regards
    S

You do in the same way like you do the an regular website...

I would go for massive and constant blog comments blast with no ping and for a few manual link build on high authority website and also a few backlinks on facebook. And the last category I will add also some blog comments on second tire and also do my best to index them.

But you must keep in mind that if you will be on #1 the other website will also be on second....

I need to rank the sites to be on top of a Person's name. The sites are already ranked at number 2,3,4 & so on on first page but I would need to beat the first one.

    Thanks

Check over your onsite SEO, that is a big deal nowadays, keep up with new quality content and building quality back links is a plus! I have had good results with link pyramids.

looks like you are dealing with a reputation management issue here. rippoff reports is a very strong site and it takes quite a bit of work to push it down actually, but it is possible.

directory submission will not be much of a help in this situation. first off all, directory submission provides slow result and only should be included on an SEO campaign with long term focus. since you need quick result, you can rule out directory submission in your situation. besides, a linked in profile will be considered a deeplink which most of the directories will not even accept. unless you submit to selected deeplink directories.

social bookmarking is a good choice. once you bookmarks your link, make sure you ping all the bookmarked URLs. scheduled ping is recommended where you ping certain amount of links per day so that google keeps finding links on a regular basis instead of all the links at once.

write up a few articles and submit them to some article directories linking to your LI profile using your targeted keyword (name in this case). you also might wanna build a few high PR web 2.0 pages and again, don't forget to ping the pages you build.

that should be good enough to give you the desired result. good luck

According to me increase your quality back links through article submission, blog posting, comment posting, directory submission, social bookmarking, forum posing and press release submission. Quality back links are most important for your website page ranking and traffic.

Just keep adding backlinks to the page. The higher the authority of the backlinks the better. Does the Rip Off Report page have any backlinks to it? If so, you will need to surpass them.
