hello there.I have read most people talking abt getting traffic.I have a blog but i still dont know how to get traffic to my blog.Many people at this very moment are working thier butts off to get traffic to their site or blog.But none of them fully explain as to how to attract traffic without paying anything.I m not grumbling,but a new guy like me needs to know a-z of getting traffic................how can that be done?????????Pls can that anyone explain?
Most people wont tell you strait up because they have their own way and they dont want anyone else using it. But you can get a nice boost by getting people to stumble your blog and submiting articles to things like Digg
If you want traffic, I really recommend http://www.BlogEngage.com. I just asked permission from the owner to write a blog post about them. It's a new site but it helped get traffic to my brand new blog. Using sites like BlogEngage.com (and others--I'm not discriminating!) helps you get traffic--BUT ONLY IF YOUR SITE IS WORTH GOING TO! Using stuff like Digg/Stumble/BlogEngage won't get you traffic if people don't like your stuff enough to vote for you. Check them out, I really like that site. I'll post tips also on getting noticed better on there. Also, SEO for more traffic! Backlinks/Promotion/Unique Content/etc. AdWords campaign is also a way for quick traffic, but I recommend the free ones first.
I don't know how much you want. we just keep SEO, link buiding, advertise for our site....just keep you can throw a pie to your president who will bring million traffic for you(just kidding)
Qualiy content which is updated quite often can gives You some good traffic .. aslo digg your stories and submit to other social sites
Quality content is the best traffic generating method there is. I wrote about how I do it a while back at http://brucehopkins.net/traffic-generation I probably need to update that post as I have some new ways of generating traffic now that are not in there, but that link should get you started. If you follow it I don't see any reason that you could not be averaging 50 uniques a day in a few weeks. One suggestion to make right here. Depending on your blog niche, put your feed in this forum's feed reader. That way every time you post your last blog post is automatically included. I've gotten quite a bit of traffic from this one little tip from this forum.
Do some networking, talk to other bloggers, comment on other blogs, email other bloggers, etc. The more friendly you are with other bloggers the more likely they are to link to you, and subsequently, bring you traffic. The commenting will also help bring traffic, but always leave an on topic comment that makes a point, don't just leave comments because you can, have something to say.
