Three things for you to do:
1.Design your website.Maybe you need some special company to do it for you.
2.Rigister a domain name for it.Try to think out a catchy and attrctive domain.
3.Choose a suitable hosting solution for your website.I think shard web hosting for you is OK.
Consider on both the configuration and service.
    Good luck.

    oooh croissants. sounds good.

    so here are my thoughts.

    1) if u are just looking to setup a site for information then u can just find templates for free.
however, if u want to sell your goods thats a whole different animal.

    2) think about what your business is about and convey that in your design

    3) brainstorm keywords to optimize your site for. think about how you want your visitors to find u. if u are located in LA, maybe it is Los Angeles Bakery, Los Angeles Croissants

    4) domain names can be had for cheap at godaddy $7.5, search for "godaddy coupons"

    5) for hosting, hostgator and lunarpages is decent. stay away from godaddy at all cost. slow and lots of downtime

if you have any other questions, feel free to PM me

I will recommend few things to help:
    1. Build website based on your needs on your local server first until it's ready. I prefer Joomla CMS because it's easy.
    2. Buy domain at namecheap or godaddy. I prefer namecheap.
    3. Buy hosting at hostgator.
    4. Upload your ready website and online
    5. Optimize SEO

Choose hostgator for hosting, they have lots of options. You can install the Joomla program ( mentioned above ) with a few clicks of your mouse.

Definitely choose Joomla if you have big plans for your site or Wordpress if you have "other" than big plans for your site.

Make a dynamic site where your visitor is the center of attraction, do not forget to include a bookmark link, and .... good luck.
