I like the clean style of the blog. However I think the header is kind of too plain.

Add a little more color in header could be better, IMHO.

Very nice and clean! maybe even too simple, but it still looks very professional!
It's easy to operate and very user friendly - nice job!
But I do have to say that the logo is a little bit long and complicated - maybe use something more catchy and simple and then also set it as a favicon so it all links together
But over all - great stuff! I like it!

@whey - I'll look into maybe changing the banner to something with more color. Maybe that will spice it up a bit? I was going for the clean and simple look but maybe a little more color will help. I'll check it out.

@bassanio - As for the banner, your saying it's long and complicated? How so? My thoughts where, simple (just the domain name & slogan) and to the point. I will look into more banner options though. Maybe that will make it look better? I will look into that favicon idea as well.

 

Honestly. I think your fonts look all wrong. Rather than an afterthought, your typographical decisions should be at the forefront of your design, navigation, and structural choices in any site. You are mixing serif and sans serifs and your sizes appear to be all over the place. Your call to action banner looks like it wasn't re-sized properly, looks squished down or something and is not an attractive font. Just my .02.
