I've checked backlink of many big sites like Yahoo this morning , the number drops from millions to only 6000. Same as big sites , even my sites dropped to 30% of usual ,but pr doesn't change. In webmaster tools still show the same amount of BL.
kijakarn are you comparing datas obtained in Google webmaster tools and Yahoo site explorer OR are you using the fake spy data given when using regular search or DP Track Back Links tool ? the original data obtained by site owners when logged in in a.m. site tools are totally different from public data given to spies.
my google backlinks are also decreased too. with link:sitename.com command ---- from 820 backlinks -> 100 backlinks webmaster tools backlinks ---- from 60k backlinks -> 12k backlinks
check backlink of yahoo usually around 1 million today 5900 ! http://www.google.com/search?source...F-8&rlz=1T4GGLJ_thTH271TH276&q=link:yahoo.com

Has anyone figured out why this is happening? In Site Explorer I went from about 3000 backlinks on the domain to just 82. I have noticed that the pages it shows are higher quality, higher page rank sites but I might just be imagining it. The only thing I can think of is that they are filtering the results like google so that they don't get hammered by seo people.
