Well the first thing I would do is update to service pack 3. This is only because service pack three is better than two. If you only want to fix your browser, try using an older version and see if you have a crashing issue. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
There is no real reason why your browser should be crashing though. Is anything else crashing?

I have been facing this loading issue with FF ever since I upgraded to 3.6. Though it does not crash... but I have to repeatedly refresh the page umpteen number of times, to be able to load a page..... fully!
And... even I am using XP SP2!

    Regards,

I uninstalled it and re-installed it.

Seemed to fix the issue for me.

How can i upgrade to SP3, i can't request in microsoft site.. as i use (Pirxxxd) version. Is there any way to upgrade in this.. if so pls give me more details

Ya i too have the same issue, but not with 3.6 , it is in 3.5 too... But when i complain to ISP , they said it might OS issue, but even i reinstalled another OS, i am getting same problem, but in 3.6 it is something better with this loading issue.
But even i reinstall FF, the issue persists and now i again reformatted entire HD, because i have got a virus from my friend system, which is entered into registry even though i removed it with my antivirus, i felt that might be a reason so i reinstalled my XP sp2. I hope now everything works fine.

If you used a pirated version there could be any number of issues causing problems for your browser. Install a genuine copy of Windows to solve your problem, simple.

^ I agree. If it is pirated there are all sorts of issues with it. You can get windows 7 for a really good price, just buy it.

Now firefox is working fine after complete OS re installation, but now i noticed that firefox is using more system resources it is sometimes making system frozen.
    My add on 's are
    Adblock plus
    AI roboform
    java console
    java quick starter

    Installed Plugins are
    Adobe acrobat
    Java Deployment toolkit
    java platform se 6 u17
    Microsoft DRM
    Shockwave flash
    Windows media player Plug in

That's all make my ff browser but when i am using firefox sometime occupying 127636K of memory usage for firefox process alone. I have above value from Taskmanager ---> processes
Is this is normal firefox memory usage, i didn't noticed it before....
Mmm.... I no that using pirated version is wrong...

And also know that it is not the reason of problem, because i have been using and many of my friends using for two or three years.
And i formated again and installed firefox and it is working very fine. except some differences.

Try to access firefox in safe mode and uninstall every addon or bookmark you have installed and everything will be fine, I hope.

Hey.. firefox is working fine, but sometimes it is not under control.. it is sucking up all the memory resource and making other browsers or applications freeze, At that time when i check task manager , fire fox uses great part of Page File and memory resource. And this problem begins with Firefox version 3.6. And i am very careful so no virus infection in my PC.

I use windows vista and this happens to me also, but most of the time when opening multiple tabs or spammed websites. Except for these, it works fine!

Yes u r correct... When ever i given a overload to the browser that is opening an pdf file in web with adobe plugin. And when open more flash content website it becomes not responding for some time and makes other programs freeze. I think firefox would be trying hard to resolve this problem and hope an oncoming update would resolve this problem.

A pirated version can have impacts you will not see. It could definitely be causing your problems.

FF 3.X is too crash prone. Just search "Firefox 3 sucks" on google and see the results.
