Hi all - took a while but i'm here!

Hi guys/gals!

Finally registered, i don't know if it was the registration process or what, but it took me about 4 days to get registered, a lot of emails to filled up mailbox for the admin, and VOILA!

So... a bit about me, I'm a 30something web developer with over 10 yrs experience in ASP, PHP, .NET etc...
I've tried to create my own sites and did so, not much success but i tried and did ok. Never made any money but i did save lots of $ from my work and now i'll be on a quest to buy some cash generating websites.

I've noticed this place rocks for tips on how to improve sites as well as sites for sale.

I've learned so much from this forum.. i can't believe i've been trying stupid ways of making a few bucks off my sites, and that only now my eyes have been opened, not only to making $ but also to affiliates, linkbacks, SEO, etc.. how they work, what they do and all that fun stuff..

I have been in a euphoric state for the past 3 days just thinking HOW is it that i haven't found this site before.. i had a site doing 150K uniques / month and my host screwed it up for me.. i was young and stupid and didn't back up regularly.. long story short... i lost my DB but i restarted my site... i want to get back to 150K uniques/month and then i will say i've succeeded at something...

Btw, when it was getting that kind of traffic i thought it was meaningless, and i didn't even bother to make any money off the site..

i will in a few days post to my sig the site url... i don't want to stupidly advertise now..

but.. i'll tell you this... i'm here to build a portfolio of sites, and am learning at the speed of light.. (something i haven't done for a couple of years now)

its nice to see something AGAIN for the FIRST TIME!
