Hi there, I hope someone can help.

I started a blog about a month ago. I have a some idea but I'm not really techie. I registered my domain as a .com, but perhaps rather naively I didn't request www. as I presumed again rather naively that it would be automatic. Therefore it's http://
Is this a major issue? I thought is was at first but then I've seen lots of blogs with http:// so maybe it isn't.

I installed Wordpress. Although I registered with a .com, at that address there's just a sort of landing page from my host company and the content of mine that's viewable to users is at .com/wp Is this a problem? If it is, can I change it easily so my content is viewable on .com? I noticed on the settings page of Wordpress that it shows where your content is located e.g .com/wp Can I just delete the wp bit so that it will be located at .com?

If I did this would the users who already view my site still be able to see my content? When I look at my stats 99% of views come from bookmarks, about 1% from links and nothing from search engines! I don't want to loose the users I've acquired at this early stage. Having said that I want to monetize the site at a later date so I don't want anything to affect it negatively long term.

Does this make sense or am I worrying about nothing. Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi again.

My apologies, I didn't check the rules before posting, so forget the above and I'll ask again in the relevant section. Sorry, I'm new at this but eager to learn from other members.

    Thanks.
