    Hey, I'm wierdo.

    I have quite a few sites, 9 I think now, but they're all subdomains.

    I need to take the risk of going for a domain.

    Anyways, hope it'll be fun!

    Hello and welcome to DP.

    It is not such a big risk, try to start of with an cheap domain that you can find in the buy and sell forum here at DP. That is a good way to start.
