Been semi-lurking around DP for the past month or two, just started actually posting on the forums so I figured I've been hooked in... currently putting together a website that I'll hopefully be running co-op ads on - my biggest website project to date pretty much I'm a C++ game programmer by trade, based in Brisbane, Australia, with numerous hobby web projects scattered around from way back when. My most successful project was a text based MMORPG called Tiraen, which I had about 1500 players, a PR of 5 I think, and was even starting to scrape in a couple of $ of ad revenues, until I was broke and sick of the "customer service" side of things and sold it for a couple hundred $$ Other interests include sci-fi, physics, travel (emmigrated here from the UK last year!), and currently trying to get my sorry geek ass back into shape.... Booya!
Thanks guys! rep++? Is that something to do with that reputation stuff? Haven't quite worked that one out yet... Taking a quick break from writing for my new site at the moment. I knew I wanted a site with lots of content, but damn, it's hard work writing decent quality AND quantity articles! I think I might just have most of it put together by next weekend... *fingers crossed*
Welcome! I'm actually following you in. I like people who like what they do. You sound like that sort. Hope to see you around the board. Regards, Keith
I hear that! If I didn't have my tiny home gym I'd be a walrus by now. I love working out but I don't like going to gyms. Too much testosterone in the air. AmCy
Indeed! Although we're moving to a new bigger office soon, and the boss says he'll be getting some gym equipment for us there I wouldn't mind working out with my co-workers, just not to keen on handing shedloads of cash to some random gym that I'm not sure I'll end up going to that often....
Yup, it's a lot of money and it's not worth it for people like me who often can't find the time to travel back and forth. Between raising my high energy baby girl and making a living, it doesn't make sense for me. Besides, I don't like all that testosterone in the air (did I mention that already? ) Having a gym @ work is great. The law firm where I worked before starting my own thing had a very nice gym, but it was for attorneys only (I was in the computer department)! Damn snobs AmCy
