Hey, somebody tell me how to find the content ideas for blogs and websites?

I am a tech blogger and own a website. I get short of ideas sometimes. I need to optimize my offering. I need to know what will be the most searched topics over the next few days so that I can leverage on those.

 

maybe looking at the google trend or yahoo buzz would give you some ideas on what to blog about

Also you can look at your comptetition. They can give you pretty good idea about the content.

Google Trends and Yahoo Buzz are great for letting you know what's hot now and previously, but if you are looking for idea's about what might be hot coming up, especially in the tech realm, may I throw a bug in your ear and suggest checking out the latest tech magazines. Something only gets hot when people hear about it, this may sound weird but what about checking out investor websites and looking for on the rise tech stocks.

 

I've been using Yahoo Buzz for a while now and I love the information it gives me tot fill my need of news.

 

Subscribe to other blogs. You'll get tons of ideas just by reading their daily posts and articles.

Thanks for your inputs . I do use all these, Google reader, google trends etc. and all these give me a lot of ideas on what to write and blog about. But all these are passive things. I mean the ones from where I get the idea already have the first mover advantage. They are bound to get more than me on the same content. What I want is something to be told by some algorithm or something that will give me ideas about the topics that will be searched over the internet. For example, if I know what will be the twitter's most trending hashtags on a particular date, I can leverage on it.

And I don't mind paying for it as this will surely get me a lot traffic.

Google trends, Yahoo buzz, various news sites. Also check out your competitions blogs for fresh ideas, not to straight copy them but for inspiration.

 

I agree with the comments above, Google Trends is a good topic. Try also to write about SEO and web design for mobile sites. Any topic about the latest trends in Social Media will also do. Good luck
