    Hey guys
You guys have been great here at DP. I am trying to start a website and the programmer has requested $500 for complete site. And I don't have that money. Does anyone know how I could get $500 to paypal quick?
    Thanks
    Mike

What if you only paid him a down payment until the job is completed?

It's done by escrow and he has requested full escrow before he begins :(

Offer him x% upfront, x% in middle and x% at end.

If they're legit they should understand, I'd never pay all upfront unless you know them well.

Do not pay any programmer 100% payment up front. As the director of a web development company I would never expect anyone to pay the full amount before work begins.

As a rule. 50% upfront and 50% balance when the job is completed to your satisfaction.
