Hey guys I tried the new version of Facebook page design, didn't like it

Hey guys I tried the new version of Facebook page design, didn't like it, how to go back to the previous design?

I'm not talking about the FB account design......I mean if u have a page, now you can change your FB page design, this feature has been introduced 2day, can I change it?

 

Nopes you can not go back to your old facebook fanpage

They show a warning message also when you click on Click New page tab stating that you will not be able to switch back to you old facebook page.

I have also updated one of page into new one . It shows the message.

 

I haven't seen that message, it's my fault, anyway it doesn't matter coz all FB pages will be updated on march 11

so I don't have another option, do i? Besides the new FB page gives you the chance of creating tabs which i needed, take a look

i dunno what iFrame is and I've never tried FBML since it's useless....but I guess i can follow a tutorial...

 

If you've switched to the new one then there is no way to go back and like you said, it will be changed automatically from March 11 so no point sticking around either (unless you have cosmetic changes to make to the tabs).

 

cosmetic changes? no man but the new page doesn't have tabs, it has navbar on the left side, it's better to have tabs like the old onces, big onces on the top so that people could see it clearly. Besides, a recent research has shown that most people look at the right hand of the screen not on the left, that's why most web ads are shown on the right. Since FB navbar is on the left, it is likely not to be spotted by people so I have to create some tabs

I agree that these links (previously tabs) would get less prominence now and their usage could be reduced. But then again, you can't have it all as per you, can you?

My fan page is also updated. I don't like it very much, either. I see there is a new feature: Use Facebook as Page. I'm excited by this feature at first, but after giving it a try, I'm totally disappointed. Maybe I don't get it correctly. Can any of you tell me what this feature is for? Thanks.

 

Use Facebook as Page enables you to see notification abt who wrote on the wall, replied to a post or liked the page......you won't have to scroll all the way down to see who wrote....you will receive notifications just like when someone posted on your FB profile, it's a useful thing

 

Even if u want to revert it back, Facebook has set the design permanently starting next month

 

It does take some getting use to, but it not that bad.

 

yes it's not that bad but facebook always do radical changes to the website so you have to explore everything just like you've never had a page.....same thing happened when they decided to change the profile design

 

I don't like either the new design on Facebook. I wonder what changes will be happened in the next month or so.

 

wat i think its just matter of time ... once we get used to it... new design will nt be so probelmatic.....

 

I think that FB should fire the web designers coz the design was great and they change....they had nothing else to do...they were bored.....they want to be paid a web designer has nothing else to do in life then playing around with photoshop, illustrator, indesign and flash so if they didn't change the design they would have nothing else to do

 

I liked the old design better than the new one. There could of just been a few minor changes. I hate how the little about the page blurb is no longer there. You have to click on info to see it. Sucks.

 

It looks a bit messy..

 

this is also not according to my liking many of the functions are missing in new style

 

Even I dont like the new version, but eventually I think everyone will get use to it as it cannot be changed back to the earlier one anymore. The only bug I am experiencing right now is the fan pages Whenever we have a new employee in our company and he is asked to change his current company name to our company, there is a new fan page created by default. So none of the people can join our company fan page created 5 years before.

 

I deleted my account today... I am tired of the changes that they keep making and also the drama that it creates in my personal life.

 

you cannot change it back. i know it sucks, but like a mentor told me, FB is a privelege not a right. just as you would need to make chnges to grow your business, so do they. not saying it doesn't suck, but it is what it is
