You know the funny thing about Compar is how he just wears you down and gets you to believe the things he preaches. Now when I came here to DP forums, Compar made a comment about "What are you doing here Anthony Cea, are you going to promote your conspiracy theories here like you have at all the other forums on the forum circuit"? Now when I came here I was simply reporting facts, no conspiracy theory, but Compar has got everyone thinking this, now even I believe this and joke about CT's. You know this guy is an asset to Digital Point and to any forum he contributes to, I have stated this in the past. Bob should have been a comic, since that is his first calling, but somehow he just has not found a way to make it in show business, so we are stuck with him on the webmaster forum circuit. Now I know that if I keep writing here that Bob will get so pissed off that he will fire about 25 posts in this thread alone. That being said, you will find out real quick about what happens when Bob hits 1,000 posts on Digital Point. Since I started my " Ban Compar Campaign", I would say the best thing that could happen is that when Bob hits 1,000 posts, he should be banned. I know this will not stop him though, he will just start posting with a new name and photo. At least I will not have to look at Bob smirking at me as he is chewing me out any longer after he hits the magic 1,000 post banned status.

I don't know Bob, you just do not know what is going to happen once you get to 1,000 posts, but just in case, if I were you I would get a new photo and name to register under. You know Bob, you may not have made it in show business, but you are a celebrity on the webmaster forum circuit. Damm well happy to have you around, keep up the good work. Just wait until the others have their chance in this thread to lay into you
Like I told you before Bob, I am a printer of Advertising related items, chalkboards, corkboards, markerboards for corporate identity and promotional campaigns. We also print on things like ice scrapers and retractable feather dusters. You can see some of this stuff at www.advertisingspecialtybrands.com The downside to this is (the internet bust of 2000) when the economy and the stock market crashed in 2000 the advertising industry hit the worst times since the great depression. Madison Avenue fell on real hard times as did online advertising, it has come back some, but never really recovered, so times in the advertising business are still tough.
You know I continue to be amazed at how well this forum operates. I can get pretty sacrastic and impatient from time to time. But because no ever gives me shit or warns me about it I think I'm probably more responsible and control myself better than I have on any other forum. I think the same can be said for you Anthony. This is the best forum home you've ever had and you have responded by making a valuable addition to the members list. I'm a firm believer that if you treat people with respect most of them will respond respectfully. If you treat people like chidren they will tend to act like chidren. I followed a thread today over to the SEO Chat forum. It was a good thread and to some degree on that particular subject maybe a little higher technically that we have managed on this forum. But I hadn't read my way through more than half a dozen posts before the heavy hand of some God Damn moderator leaped all over somebody's post because they had broken some sacred forum rule. Actually up to that point I was considering joining, but that brought me back to reality in a hurry and I decide not to bother.
Most of the "so called big forums" fill some need for the members to be "important" instead of being a forum for the free exchange of ideas. A webmaster "chat" forum should be exactly that, a place where folks come together and talk, chat, discuss, argue or whatever. When this is taken away from the members or if a "member" is judged based on one thread and banned, that is not much of a forum. Who knows maybe the guy or gal was having a bad day or maybe the other members do not want to "accept" the new infusion. The main thing at any forum is for members not to become bored, if that happens the forum can not grow and no one will want to visit again. Now getting back to the Mike Moore movie, I have not seen it, but he did not make up the subject matter, he may have made it sensational, but it is based on news events and reality. CT's are great entertainment and good for the economy of thought.

Since you started the thread and asked the question I thought it was only fair to come back here and submit my 1,000 post. As I write this I'm reminded of the old line about "I've told you everything I know and you still don't know nothing" Great forum though as I've said before.
