    They have a PR6 website, they have an authority listing, a big portfolio and a nice website, I would choose them as my design company.

    Judging by the look of their website and their portfolio items, I wouldn't choose them as my design company. All their stuff looks a tad outdated as far as design goes. But yeah, they do have a big portfolio, so they seem to have experience and know-how.

    Erm, take a look at their code: the whole site is done using tables, the designs are plain and un-inspired. Find a designer that's actually up to date with proper coding standards unless you're on a tight budget.

    Tables suck for making websites and cripple your SEO. (All those inrelative tags <td>, etc, deem as unnecessary content and will rank you lower.)

    Well from the looks of their own site I would say no,

    <p align="center" style="margin-bottom:8px">
            <b><font color="003561">Why use <br>
                    Heritageâ„¢ Web Solutions?</font></b></p>

    Code (markup):
    I think thats a very good question... ^_^

    I looked at the top site in there portfolio and the design and the coding isnt up to much.

    I wouldn't go with them.

    Yep, looks like I forgot to review the code. Poor use of tables at that, plus inline styles... barf.

    :D

    It's pretty much the first thing I do when I visit a web designers/developers site, and I would recommend everybody to do the same.

    Heritage design actually outsources all of their designers they have a huge group of designers that work remotely. Basically the quality of the design depends on who you get a as a designer. I don't have the ability to choose who you get. They are just assigned to you. Basically they do quick and dirty sites. If thats what you need then go with them. You really get what you pay for.
