I assume you need an MBA degree and experience being a CFO for a company, but it's the biggest opening to come along for quite a while at Google. Google Chief Financial Officer to Retire
i imagine there will be THOUSANDS of application to that job, everyone better than the previous ! virtually impossible
yeah i know, but lets be realistic there will be LOTS of people a probably with a lot more experience. in some years i´d might try. now never.
Yeah, they could do a reality tv show via Google for those trying out for the CFO position. Send em to a boardroom on a small island in the Pacific.
Not sure what they will ask to CFO. However people apperaing for technical job interview they have collection of thousands of puzzles. They also have good collection of algorithm questions They also ask question about, how will implement a scalable search engine. Attending a job interview at Google is quite grilling.
The challenge should be getting a #1 SERP in a month for a keyword of their choosing, and a DMOZ listing
Some of you guys are overwhelmed by the opportunity. I dont think even 1000 people would apply for the job. Secondly and very likely, google will promote someone internally for the position rather than hiring from outside. There are many other jobs who pay better than google and surprisingly, some people are leaving google for other startups. One of my frd working for Feedburner/Google is now joining BuzzFeed as Vice president. people are calling him crazy/insane etc but i guess he is right. He is just following his dream and he would prolly get more exposure. Google is a great company but you also need to think whats good for you and whats not. Again, there are many companies who better than google Last but not the least, I am a MBA in Finance/General management just to clear your doubts!
