I've tried several different shopping carts and the best one in my opinion is Open Cart. This shopping cart not only has great functionality it also has a look that SELLS. Carts such as Oscommerce function well but have an amateurish look that will scare off many potential buyers. If you want to be able to sell people outside of Ebay and Amazon you're going to need a cart that makes you appear like a legitimate company. I think Open Cart does that. You can download the software here: http://www.opencart.com
Open cart does have a nice look. Again, because it is not a hosted cart, it will never be a truly PCI Compliant option, though.
opencart rocks!! Regarding PCI complaiance for opencart this is a pretty nice conversation too.http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?t=12043
Hi Greg, I totally agree. I am a current Prestashop/Magento/Opencart user. Although I am new to Opencart, but I already love it. It is so much more simpler than Magento & Prestashop which have become so bloated they are getting slow and more difficult to use. I just setup multishop w/ SSL, which wasn't easy, but I was able to do it with one file installation which was great. It is definitely the best free ecommerce platform. Regards, Brandama
Opencart has the ability to set many attributes and options for your products also. Bbest Regards, Brandama
