    Says it all, don't it?

Look what made the headlines! Look what SHOULD make the headlines!

(On digg right now... somebody want to save it and post in case it goes down? I'm in a hurry right now.)

    Thanks,
    -Matt

    I agree buddy.

    The mainstream media is awful.

They only put crap on like Nicole-Smith and Britney "Baldy" Spears because this is what the sheeple are conditioned to read about, it is disgraceful but it's been like that for years and will remain that way until peeps start waking up to the real issues that actually matter to them.

You know why right? If not I will be the one to let you know. If they were actually telling you problems then we would be trying to solve them. But by telling you about a death(to make you sad) or more about the war ON TERROR(to SCARE YOU!!!) Then we would be trying to do something to help fix what was wrong..Instead they let us go around aimlessy and worry about celeb's really who cares if annie died or britney's bald they get enough news coverage as it is...they should really stop feeding us bullshit.

the media just reflects what people want

more people care about how anne nicole smith died then care about what Alberto Gonzales is doing

the media just gives people what they want

    This is a common misconception..lol.

The Media gives you what they want you to want. And earth shattering news (such as deaths, rapes, murders, loss of hair from a celebrity) will get more of the "stupid fish " kind of people to come over and take a gander at there things. Just as if there is an accident on the freeway people will rubberneck. Not that is what you should be looking at. But its fun to see. We should be paying attention to what happens in government. NOT A FEW STUPID DEAD/BALD CELEBRITES THAT MATTER ZELCH TO THIS COUNTRY! OR ANY!

Thats what happens when the media turns liberal...get away from the real stories and focus on a celebrity! That way you can't be blamed for informing the public...

I don't think it's a case of Liberalism (as if liberal is a 'dirty word'), but of Media over sensationalizing.

When those stories come on, I figure I'd rather see actors actually acting rather than news about them, and switch to C-Span, another news channel, or an entertainment channel.

It is not just a common misconception it is also expertly hidden and spun that way. If you really want to know about the tail that wags your reality dog, do a search on Edward Bernays. He is the reason you buy, vote, talk, think the way you do. It is actually very liberating to understand this and remove yourself from its grip.

I would tend to say that the majority of media reports have a liberal slant to them though, so I do think that it plays in...afterall, look at hollywood and its political affiliation...

Hollywood should not have any political affilation it is where movies are made. Not government officals. I don't really see why people care about the stars at all they don't write laws. Or influence them.

Yeah, and get this... straight from TIME.COM itself!

    http://www.time.com/time/magazine/europe/

Why is the US cover story about the Bible instead of "Talibanistan"? Of course, leave it to the liberal media like this to attack one of our allies (yeah, I know, not as stable as others... but still) and claim they harbor terrorists...

Just the media trying to rip on the good guys again.

    no kidding...

back on topic....the war in iraq is not popular because the media is liberal...they only portray the stuff that happens to our troops, not the good stuff that the troops do...go figure...blame bush...its all his fault.

He was a bit annoying, but I doubt that he was banned for voicing his own opinion in this P&R forum, as we're all entitled to do so. I have no idea why he was banned but I'm sure it was for a reason.

Back on track, we cannot blame Bush entirely for the big disaster in the Middle East, we have to blame the people controlling him. Bush doesn't have the brain capacity to think for himself, that is very clear for all to see so at the end of the day we cannot blame him for everything, he's just the idiot in the public eye and he handles criticism very well because he is so dumb.

I wrote about this right when it happened. There were SEVEN links about Anna on CNN's front page. It made me feel sick. I blogged about it and took a screenshot with everything circled in red> http://www.jwpincorporated.com/blog/?p=168

It's unbelievable ain't it mate.

We're on the brink of yet another major neocon induced disaster in the Middle East and all they seem interested in is Nicole-Smith.
