    1) Wrote a few articles on my site www.weightlosspro.net
    2) Submitted the articles to ezinearticles (Still pending)
    3) Submitted site to a few directories (I plan on submitting to around 5/day)
    4) Posted the articles on some weight loss related forums

I haven't seen any $$$ yet though! How long does it usually take?

    Thanks,
    -Tony

If your site is very very new, it will take time to get users and visitors to it. The more you promote it, the more users you will get. Also, keep adding new articles and content to it, so it starts improving and ranking in Search Results for related Keywords. Keep getting links to it, and you should see the traffic increase over time. With more users coming to the site, you will earn $$ off it. But all this does not happen in a day or 2. You have to be consistent and patient. Good Luck!

Keep adding content. It could take you a month or a year or longer. There isn't a formula. It depends on you mostly.

I'm not sure what "$$$" means. I'm sure you'll see a penny or two at some point soon. If you meant decent cash, well strap in and get to work.

Make a couple of Squidoo Lenses. That'll give you more exposure and a chance for more traffic. Quicker indexing. And you can even earn money on Squidoo.

Wonderfully said and it is very true - it is a long run initiative and it is somewhat naive to expect any profit overnight. Just keep up your strenuous work and the results won't take long,

and writing an article submitting it to one directory and putting your site into a directory or 2 does not turn the cash tap on.

its not a case of article + directory = guaranteed cash.

i will probably submit 30 - 50 articles a month and pay for diggs stumbles etc to each of those then i writeup posts on at least 3-4 of my blogs which i setup specifically for this campaign cross promote it all and repeat again next month.

and i still dont make anything for the first 6 months.

lots and lots of work and you alsopicked a really hard niche too.

Lol. You gotta see some real consistent traffic first, then may be few $. When your site really becomes famous then only you can think of $$$.

I could be wrong on few numbers here, but you have to have around 1000-5000 uniques per day to get $$$ in your niche.
