Do people really give their email lists away? Does anyone really read spammy emails? Data Protection in the UK would not allow email lists to be passed between companies. I'm not the only one who reports and deletes unsolicited emails...am I? I like what you say about article writing and submitting though and see that work for me, friends and associates.

    Thanks for posting this.

No they don't give away email lists.

For instance say you have 1000 people and I have 1000 people. I recommend your site to my list and you recommend my site to yours. If they like the info they opt-in to receive more...thus you build your list very quickly overnight

He's not talking about unsolicited emails. He's talking about having someone with a list of email subscribers send an offer to their list that makes them check out your squeeze page. If the offer sounds like something they want, they enter their email address so that they can receive whatever product you're offering. It's generally accepted that once someone opts in to your list, they're agreeing to receive further communication from you.

However, if you wanted to be on the safe side, you could have a little notice on your squeeze page that lets them know you'll be sending them more tips and resources. In any case, this is different from a truly unsolicited email where someone emails you out of the blue about some offer you never requested.

I thought the OP was a great breakdown, overall. The most challenging part for someone who's not already a big name will probably getting people with lists to take you seriously initially. But hey, if you're a marketer, making compelling offers to people is part of the job.

They say there's money in the list.

It seems that to make REALLY big bucks you need to get lots of affiliates. So this is a great long term goal. Affililiates from clickbank, neverblue..e.t.c
