'Notice from China'

    Dear Sir or Madam,

This email is from Beijing Erimat Co., Ltd, network solution in China. A formal application here dated on May 26th from one certain firm requested "I've edited our company name out" as their domain names (.cn/.hk/etc) and internet keyword. Due to the possibility of involving your company name or trade mark, thus causing the conflict with your online interest, we bring this into your attention immediately in view of your priority and IPR according to the registration procedure. You could contact us for learning more about it or seeking the corresponding operation on your behalf promptly. (Please check our public website for your possible inquiries)

Is this legitimate? A common misconception of our name 'Cupar Garden Centre' is 'Coopar'/'Cooper' Garden Centre - what can we do as far as taking royalties from our company by using a common misspelling? I've already had one shut down for registering another tld.

It's just a falsehood to trick you into registering the .cn version of your name. There has been no application & is no one waiting in the wings to grab your .cn version if you don't.

Lol. Just as I suspected - just wanted to confirm that this was the case. Cheers.
