It is inside the post. instead of giving a link, the poster put his adsense code. Therefore people will end up clicking his ads.

It will not be long until he get suspended i guess. :D

The forum member isn't putting there code in, its the forum itself adding an adsense block in the first post of every thread. (Go to another thread in the forum....any thread)

I can't believe you didn't make a 5 second check to see if all the other posts had adsense in them or not. Oh well.

I can see the ad in the first post on each thread - but I dont think that breaks TOS so I didn't realise that was the issue here I assumed there was something else.

Heh heh, that's not the poster's doing, that's how the webmaster set up his forum. Just as Shawn set up adlinks to show under the first post on every thread. Same way people set up ads to show at the bottom of every post, etc. ;)

I just had felt that it was interesting how a lot of those threads start with a question about if "these" (somethings) are a scam or not? With the ad links about scams underneath them, it should make users not familiar with the site click on the links to see what the poster is talking about. Then as the thread develops it moves away from them so then they just look like ads.

Maybe it's just a clever way for the webmaster to set it up so that they get incorporated into the context of the thread. I guess if you set up a forum where users can ask questions, placing those ad units below will, as I said, make some users click on them. It's definitely interesting.

Not you, the OP. But fair enough, that's not normally how it's implemented so I can see how you thought it was a violation.
