I agree... I have never seen a lot of those. In fact, we have to make sure that they are even worth submitting to. If they have a decent PR then they are if not then they are a waste of time.

This is a very extensive list. It is very nice for someone to share this with the board. I personally stick to just http://articlebase.com, but I am thinking of using scribd.com in the near future.
I use ezinearticles and goarticles. Read somewhere that sending the same article to too many places is actually detrimental.
