Here is a good question to ponder..

I just signed up with search marketing under a credit promotion. But as a PUBLISHER not an advertiser, I have a question. Do publishers get paid on the free money that advertisers get when they sign up, and if so, is it discounted?

    Example
--> Publisher site A has YPN ads for DUI attorneys

--> Advertiser site B has DUI attorney ads running on site A on a free credit from YSM

--> Visitor to site A clicks on site B ad for DUI attorney.

    Questions
    1) Do I as owner of site A get paid on that click?

    2) Is it discounted since Y! isn't getting paid on it?

    3) Or, is Y! depleting site B account the FULL COST of the click but only distributing a fraction of it to site A account?

for what i know you do get paid.. because when yahoo gives out those $50 adcredit things, they are basically giving away 50 from their pockets..

I think publisher will earn normally. It's just Yahoo decided to pay for it as a loss leader. They know the advertisers won't just stop there.
