I know about business, cost etc. (I'm still a powerseller on eBay). I found a way to get it free and fast. LOLOLOL and anyone can do it.

SC seems to have missed the equation as to everything having a cost....free results in the search engines have a cost...if I do it myself then the time I spent costs me money at an average of over $100.00 an hour.

 

Point under stood. You are right, time is money rather it be mine or if I pay someone. Although obviously you didn't mean that in your original post. Yes It will take a little time to see big results with this method but you spend nothing out of pocket. You can however pay someone to move it along a little faster. This way, by the time you get things rolling with the engines you've build up a stream of (other targeted) traffic.

 

Very true except for the part that I did not mean it in my original post. I most certainly did mean that. If you think about it even sex has a price attached to it, at times with a dollar value, and at others with a part of your soul

However that's a different topic for a differnt forum on another day.

As for waiting for the search engines, valid point and one that is not going to change anytime soon, often it is best to look at a paid search marketing campaign to start driving traffic to your site, this has an effect on several things on the seo side, the most important being traffic needs to visit a site for the SEs to pay attention to the site, and determine it to be of value.

Another thing we have learned in paid search marketing is the consumer has a 'buy' mind as opposed to 'research mind' in organic results.

Another aspect of paid marketing is there is a residual effect in that traffic will continue to visit the site after all paid search campaigns are paused or turned off.

Further the PPC model was actually a mistake since nobody assigned a value to the eyeballs that see the ads. Seems the G boys missed the page on Outdoors Advertising.
