It sounds like Google is being true to its don't be evil motto; http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8455712.stm To show my support for Googles descision regarding China, I will be increasing the amount I will be spending on AdWords tomorrow, I would urge other AdWords users to do likewise. Regards, Kevin
Instead of increasing your bids in Adwords, which may not result in that much higher spend and if it did, benefit only Google, why not support Chinese human rights activists groups directly and send them a donation? Or because an activist yourself.
I'm just an ordinary dude trying to what I think is the right thing, I'm guessing that if everybody at least tried to do what they felt was the right thing the the world would be a better place. My gut instinct took billions of years to evolve, so I tend to agree with it.
they pulled out because they can't compete not because they care. This is one of the first times Google has failed to gain market share, easier for them to pull out over human rights issues than to say "We just can't make any forward movement". It would scare investors if they said that.
I thought google had 30% of the Chinese Market, must be worth a bit, I'm still guessing thats alot of cash, more than i'll ever see!! Are you dudes paid by the chinese communist party or something? Why are you so negative about somebody trying to do something good. Regards, Kevin Taylor (not an anonymous psydenom)
