Okay, I'm having problems getting any visitors from Yahoo and MSN, at first I thought it was because simply no one was searching but recently I've been lucky if I got 20 unique visitors from either of these SE's which is POOR. 167 backlinks in MSN 250 backlinks in Yahoo 2 pages indexed in MSN 650 pages indexed in Yahoo url: www.holiday-rentals.uk.com I know I've not many backlinks, in fact I have less BL's on these SE's than on Google, what makes a BL available on linkdomain:mydomain.com? I could spend hours increasing links, but I think theres more to it than that. Is it worth paying for Yahoo directory to help? Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Thanks! Darren
Don't pay Yahoo. Just work on link trades with reputable sites, and write some articles to various sites for back link trades. Concentrate mostly on Google, since that is where the majority of your traffic will come from. Yahoo and MSN will follow. One thing is sure though, that MSN will crawl the hell out of your site, but send far less traffic your way than Yahoo and Google.
Y & M are different to G as they relish real content per page not this links stuff. You have 650 pages on Y but if they are like http://www.holiday-rentals.uk.com/espvilla.html there is nothing to go by. Y hates pages where there is not enough content for it to see what it is about. May well be a reason why M has not plugged more pages. Generate some nice and usefull info pages around the areas / countries and link from them to your content will work for all of them. You could put in a nice tiered site map basic pages -- areas / countries ---- content / villas etc M
