Hello, I've been running WWE Divas for a few weeks now and I've been trying to get ranked for the search term "WWE Divas" and it just hasn't happened, I'm not listed at all for it. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong. I've been building backlinks and promoting it. Please do not fill this topic with "just get more backlinks" because I already know that, I'm asking if there's anything else I can do. Thanks.
Only getting back links is not important, the real thing that matters is the quality of the back link. How many back links do you have? Whats the highest PR of the page on which you have a back link ?
First, PR doesn't matter, cause you never know what is the actual PR, the internal one is only keeped by Google, and the toolbar or webtools one is inaccurate, even completely wrong. Second, its not everything about backlinks. It's about code, linking, and last but not less - Content. Asking one of the headies in metacafe, what is important for SEO, the answer I got is: "There are 3 things - Content, Content, Content." And regarding Content, if you want to rank well, your content should match the one that the semantic search engines find perfect, the method is called Latent Semantic Optimization. There are also few confersenses incoming.
get more backlinks.. j/k yup it is still a little too soon to look for rankings. but keep on getting more backlinks , provide unique and interesting content. also, i would suggest you use <h1> instead of <h3> for WWE Divas.
Ok, thank you for the help. But what do you mena by content? Can you elaborate? I put a new headline up every day and post it on the biggest wrestling forum around, that gets some visitors.
Maybe your site is sandboxed.Build natural links and also submit in social bookmarking sites.Add unique content
2 weeks is too soon to be ranked for anything but the most incompetetive terms . It will take about 6 months of steady linkbuilding to rank for these terms It is also important to get some authority and trusted links to spped your way out of the google sandbox.
Your title tag contains only WWE Divas, that's a keyword density of 100% - too much! Add at least four, better five, other words/kewords to your title to reduce it to 30 % and you'll see better results.
What about a blog for your site this will address the content issue. Adding new content daily will get your site crawled and going on forum and other blogs doing signature links will help as well. You may want to consider doing a article or two on a top site (keywords to your site). No duplicate content on any of the articles or blogs.
