Depends on your site topic. What is your site about and can we take a look.

    Have you thought about PPC?

You also might want to check out some of those "freebie" sites, and see if you can advertise on them. Most of the people that frequent those are looking for good deals.

Also there are many directories that you could list this site in. I am starting a new directory soon that will be for these types of sites. I have the site ready, but only need to start promoting it. I would be glad to add it to my directory for you. Also there are many others that are going to give you from minimal to large amounts of traffic. Even if you list it in 200 directories and they each send you 2 hits per day, the word of mouth would eventually catch up with your site if it is well run and a useful product.

Here are a few tips to get you rolling in the right direction:

    1) Submit your link to all of these search engine friendly directories (most dont require a reciprocal link): http://info.vilesilencer.com/main.php?rock=seo-friendly-list.php

    2) Use keyword-rich anchor text in all of those links you post (in directories linked to above) and any other inbound links you gain. This helps you with your search engine ranking.

If you arent sure how to choose the keywords, etc - let us know ;)

    3) Submit articles that are related to your site topic(s). You can provide a link back to your site in the byline - and if your article topic is related to a particular offer or page on your site, be sure to link to that internal page. There are TONS of places to submit articles, and this is one of the best strategies for getting targeted traffic, and also helping with your search engine ranking (because of the number of inbound links it creates in the process).

If you need a list of places to submit articles - let us know that, too ;)

    4) Create a blog to go alongside your site and post new offers there. Let your visitors subscribe to the RSS Feed (a lot of people use RSS Readers now!) for the latest offers.

    5) Put some focus into your email list (if you dont have one, start one). Always include a compelling link back to your site to get them to return - and of course make it interesting to read... so you can continue following up with visitors that have shown an interest.

    6) There are TONS of "work at home" type forums. Join them, get active... and stay active. Run a compelling link in your signature on all of them, of course. This will bring you lots of traffic on its own... but the link in your sig on each post adds to those inbound links you need, too!

    7) Exchange links with other sites. That's a pretty basic tip, of course - you really want good quality links, not just "link pages". Offer to put their link on one of your primary pages in exchange for the same on their site (only if the site topics match and are relevant & useful to each of your visitors of course).

    Enjoy!

Lynn, thanks so much for taking the time to post your thoughts. Many of those are tactics I'm attempting to employ and a few of them were good things to consider. Thanks again!

Hey Kevin. If you wanted to link to me in your directory, I should at least set you up with an affiliate account. You get $1 for every member you send my way. PM me if you'd like to set it up. Thanks (This offer goes for anybody who's interested in promoting me)
