Wrong sub-forum. Try the Legal Issues one.

I'm not a lawyer but did work for a toy company who did a lot of work with well-known brands. You have to enter into a licensing agreement to use their likeness, logo or branding in your own products. Some, lesser-known bands may be more than happy to let you promote them with T-shirts. Others might try to sue your for the shirt off of your back.

India seems to run by its own rules! You'd be best to talk your lawyer through your business plan before you start.

No decent answers from v7n huh? Love the cut and paste ;)

And that is why you do research before you leap in and build a site... find out the bad news before you start rather than via legal demands after.

The small guys won't have the capacity to sue but you can't sell a lot. The big guys can sue even in India, but you can sell a lot. Problem is your legal fees even larger. No point at all.

Ask the legal help as they would be able to guide you better on this one.
