I now can't access facebook or any of my own websites...

I really need to phone them tomorrow about this, it's getting ridiculous.

    Really odd.

Where abouts are you? I can access them all.

And were you with NTL or Telewest or neither?

I'm in Dundee. Wasn't with NTL/Telewest before. This is a flat I've rented for the past 2 years (been with Virgin since we moved in...).

To be honest I'd be okay with having to use a proxy to come here (although it's still fairly annoying), but facebook I can't even log into while using a proxy (it says you need cookies enabled - and they already are) and not being able to view my own sites is just taking the piss (can't log into them either - same cookie problem - so I can't update any of them...).

Yup... another virgin media user who can't access DP from home. I'm using another ISP from work and connects fine. I think they might have put a block on it... anyone contacted them and got an answer yet?

I got the usual delete cookies, clear cashe, etc crap. Then after I told them I'd done that (had to tell them about 5 times before the guy transferred me to someone who actually knew what they were talking about) I got told it was a problem with the areas they were putting fibre optics into (it's banned a bunch of servers or something along those lines) and they are working on a fix. They managed to fix facebook and my own sites while I was on the phone, but they didn't fix DP.

I have been trying to get on DP for ages now. I realized that it may be my computer not allowing me to access DP. So I used a Proxy, and guess what. I'm now seeing DP.

I get the problem using any Browser on my computer, and I only get this problem with DP.com. I have tried disabling all my Plugins etc, nothing happened. I cannot see why this is happening.

I get this message on FireFox:

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

I use a Wireless Router, and I am not sure if the other two Computers in my house can access DP or not.

Can anyone help me, using a Proxy is annoying.

(Just to think, I though DP had been shut down. Silly me.)

    See my thread got merged.

Read through the whole thing, I am also on Virgin, and live in the UK.

This is why I though DP was down because I tired at my relatives and it didnt work. They are also on Virgin.

After weeks on not working, DP is now working without proxy. Another forum started getting problems but after a couple minutes it started working again. :)

Hopefully no other websites are effected.

Yep, just started working for me too. Guess they've fixed it across the board.
I just hope this doesn't happen again.

It may have only been partially Virgin Media. I talked to a network administrator for our upstream provider and they had some blocks/filtering in place for Virgin Media in UK and also RDS Net in Romania because of phishers and spammers from those networks abusing stuff. I talked to them and believe they changes the filters so they aren't global now so the traffic destined for my subnets get through.
