Hi to all clickbank affiliates :).I recently decided to affiliate(right word?) clickbank products and I have some questions hope someone will answer them for me :) (My questions are to people who are already making money with clickbank, and are using the method where they make a site about the product
and try to rank it , not article marketers but I will appreciate any answers)

    So:

How much time does it take to sell a product after you start promoting it?
Which products do u aim for- these which seem that are going to be hot or those which are already selling.
What kind of keywords do you use - I mean do you include the name of the product in the main keywords or without the name of the product?
How do u generate backlinks ? Fast or Slow ? What the search engines think about it?
For ranking in which search engine do u aim for? MSN Google Yahoo? (if you give some pointers about in which search engine you can get fastest to the top it will be great- I know that for google you need to gain trust and it takes a lot of time but in the Blogging to the bank it says that MSN update their datebase quicker (but the book is kinda old) and what about Yahoo?)
Finally will blogger and wordpress blogs work for promoting?

    Thanks for answers by now,Aliensexist112
(If I haven't asked question about something but you feel like I will need that info please feel free to tell it too :) )

I usually gauge if a product is worth continuing promoting after 100 clicks. It should have converted by then. Converting at below 100 clicks is my goal.

I promote both hot selling and new products, but stay away from super high gravity products.

You may include the name of the product on your keywords. I go for targeted keywords (i.e. not broad single keywords like dogs, money, etc). They are usually long-tail keywords (3 to 4 words in a keyword phrase).

Yes, blogger and wordpress blogs will work but I feel that having your own domain is worth investing. Domain name is just $7+ at godaddy when you use a godaddy promo code "OYH3".

I started doing affiliate marketing just about a month ago and I can tell you one thing.. It's harder then it looks. I had a bit of html knowledge from making an angelfire webpage years ago, other then that I went into it blind.

In the last month I have made $140 minus one $26 refund. That is off of 1500 hops on 30ish different cb products.

I have promoted products by building simple one page webpages with 3 product reviews, using Blogger, Squidoo, Ezine, then social bookmark them.

I've tried a bit of Pay per click on google and yahoo by sending traffic to my review webpages and also direct linking to the product landing pages, but I haven't figured out how not to just lose money(yahoo marketing is giving $50 free when you sign up, Google I think gave me $25 free).

You will find most marketers are pretty tight lipped about what they are converting and how they are doing it so you have to hunt and search. There are a ton of forums out there that will show you all the bits and pieces that you will need.

I have also learned alot from finding a product on cb then googling it. Then I just look at how other people have made their webpages, you can view their source code by right clicking then view source. That will show you most of the time which keywords they are using and how they constructed the page.

Basically it comes down to doing everything that you can think of to promote the product that you pick.
