HELP : Wordpress permalink - IIS7.5 - Modre-write

    I need a help on configuring my wordpress replace his domain.com/cat/p=987 into domain.com/%categories%/%page%

    I don't know how this one works. Help me please.

    I already have a mod_rewrwite donwload..I don't know how to implore it into my site...

    adding category in the permalink is not a best way.

    For changing permalinks, WP-admin =>> Settings =>> Permalinks

    If you want to keep the above structure, then click on custom permalinks and add %category%/%postname%

    yeah that's what i do.. but ill have to configure my mod_rewrite IIS 7 first...

    Yes this has been an issue for many, I remember sorting it out. Though I am not that great with codes, give it a shot. It's been a while, so you might have to research a bit if I am right?!
    Install Microsoft's URL Rewrite Module, open the web.config file in the wordpress folder and add this, if i remember it write, add it to the system.webServer element -

    And you'll find the Microsoft URL Rewrite Module here - iis.net/download/URLRewrite - please add htt://www. in front of this link, im not allowed live links yet :(

    Did a small research for you, if the top method does not work. Try this, im not sure if it would work with IIS 7 -
    Try pathinfo permalinks, something like this:
    You may have to change the php.ini file a bit, just add these 2 lines and save it on your webroot:
    Do give a feedback on which one works if any of these do work that is :p
