Okay this is my situation, I have a games blog ((http://games.advoor.net) which ive stopped working on for a while but plan on getting back to it soon. But i recently discovered a BIG problem. Basically if you click the title of the post or the more link, you get to the right page. I set it up that when you click the picture of the game , you get taken to the page as well, but now for some reason its not working and instead it takes to the page to like a multiple URL. Sorry i cant explain it well. Example is that the URL is: http://games.advoor.net/desert-battle/ But when i click the image, it goes to http://games.advoor.net/desert-battle/desert-battle/ I was thinking of changing the .htaccess to change the URLS which are double, but Ive got no idea how to do that. Can anyone please help?
maybe it is on the theme not on .htaccess, may I know what is the theme you are using, or the link to it, so I can check where to change it?
Im using the (not so) fresh theme ( http://www.xsized.de/wordpress-theme-not-so-fresh/ ) which I changed a bit. Thanks for trying to help me out!
Do you place those images in when you write the post and then paste the url in to go to the proper page? If so, I think it is how you write the url in WordPress can be a bit funky with urls. you have to have. I might be able to fix it for you. Send me a PM.
When i first added the images, i used the option to link it to the 'page'. I guess the way that works was that the image is displayed on another page, not link to the post as i thought it would.. I tried editing one post and it works fine, but ive got loads of games, so just thinking if there is a faster way to do this or not through .htaccess or something.
I think I'm kind of getting the interpretation with what you are trying to do. Modrewrites aren't my thing at all. I hired a guy to do one for me a while back. He's good. You should see if he's available to fix your problem his user name is LeopardAt1
Thanks for the info! Ill see if i can come up to something and ill be sure 2 ask leopard to see if he can help me out.
