Help with Word Press

I currently have some wordpress blogs. The question is when i delete some post, under my section of Blog Categories, it shows a "-" sign.

How can i remove it?

strange i do not see any such - around can u jus put a screenshot here with what the exact issue is.

It's probably because deleting the posts so fast messed around the database. I've heard of it happening on phpbb before, but never wordpress.

Can you go into the db at mysql and delete the entries manually ?

 

oh? i should do that? Is that better?

 

Or you can delete the category and post all the posts again ? Maybe not such a good idea.

 

same thing happens when you change categories? i mean create a new category and move the posts to the new one?
