Help with Website

    Hi All,

    I have purchased a domain from godaddy.

    Now i want to apply wordpress theme to it. Can someone guide me. I am newbie.

    All basic information will be of great help.

    You need to arrange a hosting package. You can do this through godaddy, which would probably be easiest for you. This is a place where all your files will be stored, and when you type in the domain you will be directed to these files.

    You will then need to set up a mySQL database using your godaddy account.

    Wordpress has instructions on how to install on it's website - they are fairly in depth.

    yes pmek is right you need a hosting account where you upload and host your file.

    I have never used GoDaddy. However, if you have a cPanel host then you can use Fantastico to do a quick install without being at all technical.

    Find a host, preferably one with Fantastico (a program that lets you install Wordpress in 1-2 clicks). It'll be really easy and you can always ask if you need more help :)

    goto your cpanel and create a hosting with godaddy.

    in your cpanel, go to fantastico, install wp, pretty easy...looks like you got a lot of other answers though.

    If they have simple scripts or a cgi center like it you could install it quickly using that.
