    Hi all!

I'm experiencing some problems with my VPS lately (probably overloaded), which means that I have to restart it at least once per each 2 days.

I have 2 questions regarding that:

1 - Can I restart it automatically, everyday, or every week using some cron? How?
2 - Considering I can access it with Putty, for example, is there a way to reboot it with a shell command? That way I could do it with my PDA...

    Thx for your help!

why not upgrading to bigger vps, and keep it run stable? If it's overloaded, many people are using your sites? If restarting frequently, it can make users crazy and leave :)

You can create a cron job to restart apache when server load exceeds a threshold.

Another easy option is upgrade your VPS ;)
