Please help me! My site, http://bodjie.homestead.com, is getting almost no traffic each day. :(

Only 10-20 visitors a day. What could be the problem? Is it the theme? Is it the site design and layout? Is it SEO-related problem? Is it the architecture of the site?

Please advise. Thank you so much!

    1) You have no page title in your "head"
    2) You need to utilize your description words more effectively:
    a) The cool site of a cute dog, Bodjie, a mix
    1) "The cool site of a"; all wasted space.

    3) Content, content and more content is what makes pages unique.

Thank you so much, wilderness, for your advise.

Can you please tell me what specific page are you referring your observations on? I think it would be easier for me (I'm a newbie at site-building by the way) to correct if I can see the problem.

    Thanks again!

Choose some potential keywords that can attract the visitors and then start optimizing your websites...cause the keywords your are using in your title are not too effective to attract so many visitors..
There are some other way to attract visitors like forum submission. blog posting, article syndication etc..but it should be of quality..:)

Thank you, manish.chauhan, for your advice!

I rank poorly for my chosen keywords, but I have observed that I rank in Google's first to 5th pages for keywords that are related to my chosen keywords. For example, I'm buried in SERPs for the keyword "cute dog" but perform well for the keyword "cute dog breeds" which is not among my chosen keywords.

Should I change my keywords then? Use those which my site perform well?

Lastly, what in your opinion are the obvious indications of an "effective" keyword? What should I look for in a keyword that should give me any idea that it is an "effective" one?

Again, thank you for your advice. I'll look forward to your response on this. :)

You have to first analyze the keywords, what keywords are getting more traffic, what is the competition, what are you providing and what kind of traffic you want.....

As you said you are ranking on some keywords..have you ever checked that how many volume those keywords are attracting towards your website..for the keyword 'cute dog breeds', there are neither any competition nor any search volume so if you are ranking on the top of that keyword..it is not going to help you anyhow...

So to check the performance of your existing keywords and for some potential keywords: check this...
