Help with Stumblupon please

I just signed up to stumbleupon and have downloaded the toolbar. What now?
Do I have to wait for someone else to stumble upon my site? Is there somewhere I can submit it?
I tried stumbleupon friends but it keeps telling me my username does not exist!!
Any help here appreciated.

 

Look at your site. Gives it a thumbs up on the toolbar.
Look at some other sites you like, give them a thumbs up too - spread the love.

 

So I presume the more people that add your site the more hits you will get.
