HELP With Stat-Counter Code

Hi,

I've tried several times to instal the statcounter code on my blog (I'm using blogger) but I kept receiving 'rejection' notification.

Here is the message:

XML error message: The element type "img" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "".

NOTE: I followed the instruction to post the code after the [body] and before the [/body] tags.

Can you please let me know what I am doing wrong?

Which version of Blogger you are using? New or Old

 

try putting it right before the [/body] tag. It usually works there for me.

 

I'm not meaning to sound patronising here, but are you sure you're using the entire code (eg. use CTRL + A to select it)? I recommend upgrading to the new version of Blogger because it's way simpler to use - just go to the layout screen, create a new 'HTML/Java' element and paste your code in it.

Copy the code, look for [/body] tag and paste the code just before that

 

usually most stat sites want to be right before the /body tag and this is usually found in your footer
