Help with sites purchased

Hi DPers

I have bought a number of sites in a job lot here on DP.

The site was working fine pre-sale and the seller provided a zip of the files which I installed on my server.

An example is animationdesign.info.

The config file has been altered to add my aff codes and I added G Analytics and Webmaster Tools to the template. Anything other than the homepage results in a 404.

I have also tried uploading the original files from the seller but the same problem occurs.

I am a php novice so any advice is welcomed! Please let me know what information you require.

.htaccess file missing or some error in .htaccess file.

Never buy any website unless they help you with setup.

Sometimes some sites will not work on specific server specifications.

if you encounter 404's it most probably a missing htaccess file

 

I would re-upload the .htaccess file through the cpanel.
