This may seem like a really weird question but I want to know if there is a way to set up a google sitemap without using an ftp client or xml. Copying and pasting html to do this is ok. I am looking for software or anything else that would work for someone very new to website building.
You will need to upload the xml file with your other files. FTP with a good program such as SmartFTP is a case of drag and drop once you FTP details have been entered. The sitemap itself can be generated by a free tool such as: http://www.xml-sitemaps.com You will then need to put the URL e.g. www.mywebsite/googlesitemap.xml in the Google sitemap site. Job done. Obviously you will need to update your sitemap if you make changes to the site. Chris
alwayslearning, don't you have FTP access to your webhost? In that case, your webhost (free one?) should offer a HTTP based upload or similar.
