Hi, I want to know what all reports are generally provided by Optimizer to Clients.. Like Traffic Reports Ranking Reports Will an Optimizer provide a complete report of Link Building to his client??
Traffic Reports: Google Analytics To make it easier- Top Greasemonkey Scripts for Google Analytics You can print our traffic reports logged using Google Analytics from the date you install it. Ranking Reports: Exact Factor Find Search Engine Rankings This is a free tool you can use to show your clients where you rank for the keywords they're trying to target. You can also compare your rankings to their competitors so they know how they match up. Fairly easy to do - traffic and conversions usually matter most to clients.
i would never provide link building reports, especially if the link building is for link juice purposes. the only data they need for links would be included in any standard analytics reports like google analytics (the section for referring sites)
The reports provided to the client will depend on the agreement made between the client and the optimizer. If your client has hired you to do link building you should provide him with all the URL's where he can see his link, if he has hired you to do SEO, than the report will consist of several things: changes made to his website, created content, link building, change in rankings, current SERP's. If you're hired to do a traffic campaign you should include Google Analytics, server logs, traffic sources and used traffic generating methods. Personally, I'm a big fan of the open business idea. I mean - if your client knows exactly what you're doing, this doesn't mean that he will run away with your industry secrets. If you're good at what you're doing he will hire you again. I've been both provider and user of SEO services, so I have a look at the both sides and I can tell you that there is nothing more frustrating than unclear report. When you're honest and open with your clients you're making a certain percent of them loyal clients that will never use your competitors. Sure you can lose a client or two when you "tell them your secrets" with the report, but it's worth it.
