real quick.,...get a better title to the home page...register the site w some local sites...things like the yellow pages...local google, local yahoo... then get links with appropriate anchor text...should be easy
Do write some articles about your site and submit to article sites. Directory submissions help. Do social bookmarking. Make videos for your site and submit in YouTube.
study your competititors and do what they are doing/have done but do it better if you can innovate and do something unique which gets you traffic/links, it would also help.
Analyzing your competition is very important. Get links from sites in Australia, hosted there. How well do you rank in Google.com for your keyword ?
