it will be easier to understand and help if you tell more about:

    1. What virus is this?
    2. How you know it is a virus and not a wp/theme setting issue

Dude you are going to have to give up more information if you want help.
    What's the site?
Why do you think it's a virus?
What problems are you having with the site?
What version of Wordpress are you running?

Hm, It can be a real pain to remove a virus. Usually you can find some good resources from Google. I found that theme folders seem to be targeted along with plugins. Also if you have any cache files, you may notice some that don't belong. It's time-consuming for sure though. Good luck.

One of my sites got hit with something that was loading links from other websites a few months ago--it was more maleware than a virus. I think it happened from a plugin that I installed. It took me 2 days to fix the problem.

I would offer to help, but I'm not very proficient at this type of thing.

I can tell you right off the bat that it's probably not your site. It's the sites that you link to that are the problem.
You will probably never be able to rid your site of the stigma as long as you link to those sources.

I don't think you are getting it. What ever the source is for the content that you are offering is, is likely the culprit.
No one can remove anything without knowing that source and checking each file on their servers..which is not likely to happen.

Without telling too much and respecting your PM communications, the type of site that you have is notorious for malware and viruses. Linking to or using that content does not come without risks. It's the nature of them and for many it's the reason that they exist.

Your first step is to check your sources. There is nothing that I can do in that matter.
Obviously if Google sees it, it must be a problem especially if they are telling you exactly what the problem is.

To put it plainly. It's not your Wordpress install that is corrupt, it's your content.
