Hi guys, I think I'm at the point where I need to find direct advertisers besides using AdSense and TLA, which are not really that profitable IMHO plus some ads are irrelevant to the site as I had maxed out my filters. It's a bit disappointing since Blogads didn't issue anymore invite codes so the next solution is direct advertising. My blog about male celebrities currently averages about 5k uniques & 20k impressions per day, 600+ subscribers and Alexa ranking of about 110,000. What do you suggest the reasonable rates would be? The Most commons ways of direct selling with your blog are: 1) Text links ads 2) 125x125px ads 3) Sponsored Reviews 4) icons ads The variables I consider affect the cost is Pagerank+visitor+rss suscribers+focus of the blog+niche since my blog is a web design I compared with similar blogs http://www.bittbox.com/advertise-on-bittbox/ http://www.blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/advertise http://www.wakeuplater.com/advertise.aspx http://css-tricks.com/about http://www.designfloat.com/blog/advertise (here you will see what I was talkign about the icons) You will see there how much they cost and what type of sell space they are offering. I think a nice guide is for a 125x125 which are the common banner in blogs you can as about 25usd per 1000 unique visitors per month. For text links about 5usd per month for each 1000 Of course as you can see in the sites I send there are guys like css-tricks that has similar stats (even higger) like spoongrahics and the first charge 35 a month and the other 100 for the same ad space. hope I could be of some help. cheers, mao
