Hi. I have 2 hosting sites and one of them also provides free reseller. These sites have a very low posting to get hosting compared to the market out there. I have absolutely no members. I would like to know what I can do to maximize my sites potential. They are in my sig and I am a student who has worked VERY hard on these sites.

No offense but web hosting is probably the toughest niche to get into...and judging by the look of your sites I doubt you will be able to succeed. Too many large competitors offering great rates/services and professional support.

Your best bet is to either:
    a) target niche markets (host websites for car dealerships, sports teams, etc)
    or
    b) provide incredible 1 on 1 tech support

But as I said, unfortunately I doubt you will get many customers...

I do actually have very fast support and I will reply back to any customer within 2-3 mins. As me and my friend living in different part of world have the calculations either one will provide support. But this is something that I planned and even a 100-200 members isnt bad compared to the 10000 that companies like x10 and trap17 have. Plus mine is free.

I think offering reseller account "free" make people little suspicious, also the offer that you made on the home page of one of the site for free account in return of forum posting drive away people from their very first visit, it also gives negative sign while they find your forum is empty. I would like to suggest you to charge something and build community first before you start a forum.

Maybe combine it with another service, offer something then sell hosting to them too.

How have you promoted them so far?

Maybe look at getting better designs. I am not being harsh, I am trying to give you constructive advise. I am currently looking to buy a dedicated server, and the number of companies I ignore because they have a rubbish design is staggering

your offer is not good, what to host with 500 MB bandwidth ? a html file ? how to resell 500 MB bandwidth ? 1 MB for user ? when a user will upload 1 , 2 , 3... files will use that bandwith alone + they will not sign up even for free without posting for that amount of bandwidth.

try to offer at least 5 GB bandwidth...

I think what I offer is enough as the first couple plans are Shared only and the last one is the only reseller plan.
